About Wesellbloodstock.com

Wesellbloodstock.com was founded in 2021 by bloodstock consultant and racing manager Richard Knight. Richard has over 20 years of experience in the horse racing industry and has been responsible for the purchase of Group 1 winners The Wow Signal, Garswood and Waikuku.

Prior to setting up as bloodstock agent in 2012, Richard spent 12 years working with World leading bloodstock organisations including Coolmore, Darley and Juddmonte gaining a thorough all-round experience with each operation. Since 2012 Richard has not only purchased for many owners throughout the world but also acts as a Racing Manager where he looks after the racing and bloodstock interests of his clients.

The concept of wesellbloodstock.com was born out of Richard’s experiences with private purchase and sale deals. From a sales perspective Richard has found that owners like having an independent person acting on their behalf and by x-raying the horses prior to selling, the owners know where they are and don’t waste time with deals that fall through.

Also, the ability for someone else to handle all the enquiries ensures that the best sale option is secured whether that is dictated by price or who will train the horse going forward or where that horse will end up – this can be very important to owners especially those with breeding operations.

We handle all the enquiries & hassle for you.

Richard has also seen the frustrations from a buyer’s perspective. Phone calls and emails to trainers or their clients who don’t want to sell or those that will sell but the price is far higher than expected.

Even if you successfully cross those hurdles a large percentage fail the vetting mainly due to x-rays or scope.

We provide a personal service to both vendors and purchasers.

Richard is assisted in the day-to-day running of wesellbloodstock.com by his wife, Samantha, who worked for the Thoroughbred Breeders Association in Newmarket for 7 years before starting their family. Richard and Samantha have two children and live near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, UK.
